Bulamu Bridge AI Technologies is a health tech social enterprise using a mobile app called My FemiHub app, and Whats App chatbots to digitize access to maternal care and sexual reproductive health rights and services in Uganda. We provide information on pregnancy anBulamu Bridge AI Technologiesd sexual and reproductive health, virtual consultation services, period and pregnancy tracking and emotional support via community groups on our app.Our digital platforms: our app and website offer a one-stop-shop for maternal and child care products empowering pregnant women, young people, and teenagers in Uganda and across Africa to access essential healthcare services and commodities.
Our products and services include: My FemiHub app: an artificial intelligence-powered interactive app that allows adolescents and young people to access a wealth of culturally sensitive educational resources on contraceptive use, period tracking, safe sex practices, and other SRHR information allowing them to make informed decisions about their sexuality. For pregnant women, the app offers personalized care including tracking vital signs like weight, and they receive appointment reminders, medication management, and nutrition guidance. My FemiHub app allows our clients to schedule appointments with our in-house doctors for virtual consultations and provides tools to schedule obstetrician visits, ultrasounds, pediatrician appointments, and postpartum check-ups with our partner clinics. The app and our website offer our clients a convenient shopping experience allowing them to browse and purchase a wide range of maternity and baby care products, and health and wellness items all from the comfort of their homes. We have also developed the Bridge software that includes a doctor-patient referral telemedicine system where patients, upon consultation with our AI, are appropriately referred to an appropriate specialist for medical treatment in case they need it. This innovation is in place to offer practical pregnancy guidance and continuous round-the-clock real-time health support to pregnant women to end preventable maternal and infant deaths. Our WhatsApp chatbot, Lydia: an AI-powered chatbot that provides 24/7 medical virtual assistance, responding to users’ common queries, providing immediate support, and offering information on-demand for those who are unable to download our app. Users can ask questions about pregnancy symptoms, menstruation, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition, exercise, and medication, and receive accurate and timely responses, eliminating the need to wait for healthcare professionals’ availability. Additionally, we understand that over 60% of Africa’s population does not have access to smartphones and have generated a USSD code which can be used to access information on pregnancy and SRHR information for free. Through our innovative solutions, we envision a future where every woman and young person in Uganda and Africa can make informed decisions about their health and receive timely and appropriate care, leading to improved maternal and infant outcomes.
Through this forum, we hope to build our advisory team for Bulamu Bridge AI Technologies. We also hope to build our marketing skills, especially in the area of search engine optimization, and targeted marketing, and increase our sales from our website. We also believe that this forum will improve our skills in pitching as we are currently raising seed funding and we shall raise USD 500K after participation in the forum. We hope to expand our services to cover at least 10 districts in each region of Uganda through partnership with government of Uganda, private clinics and organizations.
